Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

"MadKings", "we", "us", or "our" refers to MadKings Esports, an Indian esports organization based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. We operate the website at madkings.in and the official merchandise store ("the Armory"). You can reach us at any time at contact@madkings.in.

2. What we collect

We only collect information we actually need. Concretely:

• Account details — your name, email address, and password hash when you create an account.
• Order details — shipping address, contact phone number, items ordered, and order history.
• Payment information — handled entirely by Razorpay. We never see or store your full card number, UPI PIN, or bank credentials. We only receive a payment confirmation token from Razorpay.
• Contact form submissions — anything you send us via the contact form, including your name, email, optional phone, and message.
• Browsing data — basic technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) collected by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) for security and performance.
• Wishlist & recently viewed — stored locally in your browser only. Never sent to our servers.

3. How we use your information

• To process and ship your orders, and keep you updated on their status.
• To respond to your messages, support requests, and recruitment or partnership inquiries.
• To run and secure the website — fraud prevention, abuse detection, error tracking.
• To send you marketing emails (drops, tournaments, news) only if you've opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time from any of our marketing emails.
• To meet our legal and tax obligations under Indian law.

4. Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. We share it only with the partners we need to actually run the business:

• Razorpay — to process online payments. Subject to Razorpay's privacy policy.
• Shiprocket — to fulfill and deliver orders. Receives your name, address, and contact phone.
• Cloudflare — our hosting and CDN provider. Processes traffic data for performance and security.
• Resend — to send transactional and marketing emails on our behalf.
• Indian government authorities — only when legally required to do so (e.g. tax authorities, law enforcement with valid legal process).

5. Cookies and local storage

We use the bare minimum: a session cookie to keep you logged in, and your browser's local storage to remember your cart, wishlist, and recently viewed items so they survive page reloads. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or behavioural-tracking pixels.

6. How long we keep it

• Account data — for as long as your account exists. Delete your account and we'll remove it.
• Order records — retained for at least 7 years to comply with Indian tax and accounting laws.
• Contact form submissions — retained until resolved, then archived for up to 2 years.
• Browser local storage — entirely under your control. Clear your browser data and it's gone.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to:

• Show you the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct anything that's wrong or out of date.
• Delete your account and the personal data tied to it (subject to legal retention obligations on order records).
• Stop sending you marketing emails.

Email contact@madkings.in with the request and we'll handle it within 30 days.

8. Security

We protect your data with HTTPS in transit, hashed passwords (we never store passwords in plain text), and access controls on our admin systems. No system is bulletproof, but if we ever discover a breach affecting your data, we'll notify you and the relevant authorities promptly.

9. Children

The Armory is intended for customers aged 18 or older. If you're under 18, please make purchases through a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to this policy

We'll update this page if our practices change. The "Effective" date at the top reflects the latest version. Material changes will be notified via email to account holders.
